About the role

Are you an experienced nurse ready to take the next step into leadership?

We’re looking for a Team Leader (Nurse) to provide clinical and operational leadership within one of our services. At Brandon Trust, nursing is about more than clinical expertise — it’s about working alongside people so they can live everyday lives that make sense to them.

In this role, you’ll lead and develop support teams to deliver safe, high‑quality, person‑centred care, ensuring people receive the right support at the right time. You’ll play a key role in shaping good practice, supporting staff development, and delivering positive outcomes for the people we support.

This is a hands‑on leadership role, combining clinical nursing responsibilities with day‑to‑day team coordination, coaching and quality assurance.

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing clinical and operational leadership to ensure safe, effective support
  • Leading shifts and coordinating staff so care is delivered consistently and to a high standard
  • Carrying out and overseeing nursing procedures in line with care plans and guidance
  • Monitoring health needs, escalating concerns and supporting Health Action Plans
  • Supporting colleagues through coaching, supervision and appraisals
  • Leading on medicines management, safety and best practice
  • Championing person‑centred support, dignity, choice and inclusion
  • Promoting safeguarding, risk management and a strong “speak up” culture
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to audits and quality improvement
  • Working closely with families, health professionals and internal colleagues
  • Modelling values‑led leadership and inclusive practic

What we’re looking for

  • A registered nurse with current NMC registration
    (RNLD, RMN, ENLD or RGN with recognised social care training)
  • Experience providing nursing care within adult social care or a similar setting
  • Confidence leading teams, prioritising workload and making informed decisions
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, mental capacity and person‑centred practice
  • A calm, organised and proactive leadership style
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships
  • A commitment to learning, reflection and continuous improvement
  • Level 3 management qualification (desirable)
