The Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) is the UK’s leading defence and security think tank. Its mission is to inform, influence and enhance public debate on a safer and more stable world. RUSI is a research-led institute, producing independent, practical and innovative analysis to addresstoday’s complex challenges.
RUSI’s Energy and Security Programme delivers evidence-led, policy-relevant analysis on the intersection of energy systems, geopolitics, climate science and national security. Our work helps governments, industry, and civil society understand how energy markets, technological and climatic change, and global supply chains impact national and international security, and vice versa.
About the role
RUSI NextGen Ambassadors embody our mission and vision as representatives of the NextGen Community. Our ambassadors are the future leaders of tomorrow in the defence and security sector. They bring a wealth of experience in a variety of areas including public sector, corporate and government roles. As part of their ambassadorship, our cohort is focused on making the NextGen initiative the very best it can be for current and future generations.
The NextGen Ambassador Programme is the perfect opportunity for you to get more involved in topics related to defence, security, or global affairs and become a community leader.
Ambassadors will be appointed for a voluntary, unpaid basis for the period of minimum one year, subject to renewal. Successful applicants can expect to commit approximately 10 hours per month.
Key Tasks
- Act as a voice for the community, taking on feedback from members and ensuring member’s interests are represented in NextGen activities
- Play a key role in setting the direction of the NextGen initiative
- Represent and promote the NextGen community within your own networks
