The opportunity
- Could you secure high-value corporate partnerships that help fund lifesaving heart and circulatory research?
About the role
As our New Business Manager, you’ll play a key role in growing high-value corporate partnerships that fund lifesaving research and help people affected by heart and circulatory conditions.
Working closely with the Senior New Business Manager, you’ll take ownership of identifying, developing and progressing opportunities with organisations across a number of sectors that share our ambition to help people live longer, healthier lives.
From building your own pipeline and opening doors with new prospects to developing compelling proposals, pitching to senior decision-makers and negotiating agreements, you’ll lead opportunities through the full new business journey. You’ll spot opportunities for strategic, commercial, Charity of the Year and employee fundraising partnerships that deliver significant income and wider value for BHF.
In this role, you'll:- Develop and manage a strong pipeline of high-value corporate partnership opportunities.
- Use insight, research and relationship-building to identify prospects and move opportunities towards successful outcomes.
- Create tailored proposals, pitches and partnership propositions that bring BHF’s impact to life.
- Work collaboratively across BHF to shape partnerships that support our strategic ambitions and charitable objectives.
- Represent BHF with confidence at meetings, pitches, conferences and networking events.
We’re looking for a proactive, commercially minded new business professional who can spot opportunities, build strong relationships and turn ideas into long-term partnerships.
You may already have experience securing five or six-figure partnerships, sponsorships or commercial agreements, or you may bring transferable experience from a high-value sales or relationship management role. Either way, you’ll be confident working through the full sales cycle, from prospecting and engagement to pitching, negotiation and onboarding.
You will have:- A strong track record of achieving financial targets through partnerships, sponsorships, commercial agreements or transferable sales activity.
- Experience developing and selling partnership, sponsorship or fundraising packages, ideally including five or six-figure opportunities.
- Confidence managing the full sales cycle, including prospecting, proposal development, pitching, negotiation and partner onboarding.
- Excellent communication, networking, influencing and relationship-building skills, with the credibility to engage senior stakeholders.
- A strategic, creative and results-driven approach, with strong planning skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities effectively.
We’re in a pivotal time where partnerships have been identified as the cornerstone of BHF’s organisational strategy and we’ve had notable achievements in securing significant corporate partnerships over the past few years.
It’s an incredibly exciting time to step into a creative team that is bursting with a ‘get-up-and-go’ attitude. If you’re looking to deliver some of the best, most impactful collaborations seen across the charity sector, then you’re in the right place.
