New Business Development Executive - Licensing
Job Introduction
The New Business Development Executive plays a key role in Tate Commerce’s Licensing team, helping to grow the reach of Tate’s brand and collection through well-chosen partnerships. Working closely with the Licensing Director, the role focuses on researching potential licensees, preparing engaging pitch materials, and supporting early conversations that lead to new commercial opportunities.Once partnerships progress, the role guides licensees through image selection, permissions, and Tate’s brand requirements ensuring artwork is used accurately, respectfully and in line with agreed standards. This includes sourcing digital photography, advising on copyright, coordinating clearances and ensuring all crediting and reproduction details are correct.
Alongside new-business activity, the post supports the day to day running of the Licensing function, from managing rights applications to contributing to the development of Tate’s digital asset systems. It’s a varied, fast paced role suited to someone organised, proactive and confident working with both creative and commercial stakeholders.
