About the role
ONSIDE is launching an innovative new Neurodevelopmental (ND) Service across Herefordshire, providing early intervention, practical support and emotional wellbeing services for children and young people aged 0–25 years and their families.
Our vision is to create a neuro-affirming, person-centred service that empowers children, young people and families to understand and embrace neurodivergence, build on their strengths and access the right support at the right time.
This role will lead the design, coordination, delivery, and continuous improvement of high-quality training, group programmes, and learning activities across Melo and the new Neurodivergence Support Service. Playing a central role in developing and delivering group-based emotional wellbeing support, neuro-affirming training programmes, workforce development initiatives, peer and community learning opportunities, and accessible resources for children, young people, families, professionals, and staff.
The Training Coordinator will bring together training delivery, group programme coordination, workforce development, quality improvement, and partnership engagement. The role includes programme development and delivery, training design, and operational coordination, alongside building strong partnerships with community organisations and stakeholders. Acting as a safeguarding lead, the postholder will ensure compliance and promote best practice in safeguarding across all activities.
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a passionate and skilled professional with experience in designing and delivering training and group-based programmes, ideally within neurodivergence, mental health, or children and young people’s services.
You will have a strong understanding of neuro-affirming and trauma-informed approaches, with the ability to translate these principles into practical, engaging learning experiences that support a wide range of audiences.
You will be a confident communicator and collaborator, with experience in partnership working, safeguarding, and leading quality improvement initiatives. Organised and proactive, you will be comfortable coordinating multiple workstreams while maintaining attention to detail. Most importantly, you will be committed to creating inclusive, emotionally safe environments and driving meaningful impact through learning, development, and community engagement.
If you are committed to delivering high-quality, neuro-affirming support and want to be part of shaping an exciting new service from the beginning, we would love to hear from you!
We particularly welcome applications from people with lived experience of neurodiversity, as well as parents, carers, and family members of neurodivergent children and young people. We believe lived experiences strengthen our services and helps us to deliver more inclusive, person-centred support.
