The Vacancy
We’re looking for a proactive and dynamic Neighbourhood Manager to lead our Housing and Neighbourhood Management service across the Home Counties, including Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex, Berkshire, and Oxfordshire. Delivering an accessible, customer-focused service to our communities. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Neighbourhood Team, drive our landlord strategy, and make a real impact on the lives of our customers.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the Neighbourhood Team across Home Counties to deliver effective housing and tenancy management services.
- Promote a safety-first, rent-first culture and empower your team to deliver innovative, customer-focused solutions.
- Manage complaints, complex cases, and challenging situations with empathy and a “can do” approach.
- Audit and monitor Housing KPIs, compliance, and service delivery standards.
- Develop strong relationships with external partners, stakeholders, and statutory bodies.
- Oversee risk-based neighbourhood inspections and safeguard customer and staff wellbeing.
- Manage resources effectively, including budgets, staff performance, and operational assets.
- Contribute to policy and procedure development to ensure continuous service improvement.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience in housing, management, or transferable skills.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage diverse staff.
- Experience handling challenging and emotive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience in the housing sector, including tenancy and neighbourhood management.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement and deliver strategic change.
