Spectrum Music Concert Wind Band

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring MD to lead our friendly, inclusive band based in Kingskerswell, South Devon. We’re a community band of players of varying abilities (generally grade 5 and above) who share a love of making music together. We pride ourselves on being inclusive.

Our ideal candidate will:
• Bring energy and creativity to rehearsals and performances.
• Have experience conducting wind bands or similar ensembles.
• Choose a varied, engaging repertoire that challenges and motivates players.
• Support a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages growth and enjoyment.

We rehearse weekly on a Wednesday, 7.30- 9.30pm, and perform at local events, concerts, and community occasions throughout the year. Christmas is always a busy time with a full calendar of carolling to support local charities and we traditionally organise a playing tour over a long weekend in September.
