CoMA Sussex ensemble are looking for a new Music Director to conduct rehearsals and concerts, and to contribute to their vision of making contemporary music open to everyone.
The duties involve:
• Conducting rehearsals and performances
• Maintaining an open-access ensemble catering for mixed abilities
• Devising detailed artistic programmes and rehearsal schedules
• Liaising with composers and the ensemble librarian
• Attending ensemble committee meetings
• Creating strategic artistic plans for the ensemble, including workshops and other relevant activities
• Developing links with festivals and other arts organisations.
The group rehearse once a month on a Sunday afternoon in the Brighton area and usually give two public concerts per year.
