Vacancy: Mount Stuart Guide (Seasonal)

We are looking for a Visitor Guide to join us for our 2026 season.

Role: Mount Stuart Guide

Location: Mount Stuart House

Reporting to: Visitor Operations

Contract Type: Contract

Dates: 23 March 2026 – 18 October 2026 (approx. 7 months)

Work pattern: Variable hours, including weekends

Pay rate : £13.45 per hour

The Mount Stuart Guide is responsible for delivering an outstanding visitor experience within the House and Gardens setting.

They are responsible for overseeing individual House areas during periods of self-guided free flow admission and may conduct House and Garden Tours. As the voice of the Visitor Experience Team, Guides encourage and inspire visitors to learn about the House, Gardens and Bute Collection in an enjoyable and easily digestible way.

It is essential that the Mount Stuart Guide is friendly, enthusiastic and a great communicator who has a passion for learning and sharing knowledge. A strong interest in the arts and history is desirable as is the ability to speak a foreign language.
