Mission Project Pioneers

Airedale Methodist Circuit in West Yorkshire is seeking to appoint three part time Mission Project Pioneers to oversee and lead projects to discern and develop three Centres of Mission. They will work in partnership with the existing church communities and local communities, to develop new initiatives which include spiritual discipleship, community engagement and the creation of spaces where questions of faith can be asked.

We are looking for applicants with experience of the working across all generations, engaging with volunteers and sharing their faith with the wider community.

There are three church buildings which are changing role (following a bold reshape of the Circuit) and one Mission Project Pioneer will be based at each of them:
Bingley Methodist Church BD16 4JU
Lees Methodist Church BD22 9DL
St Peter's Methodist Church, Cross Hills BD20 8TF
This Circuit reshape has cleared the space for something new to emerge alongside the 'traditional' and the appointment of Pioneers to lead this 'new' is an exciting step.

Each of the three roles will be 16 hours a week, worked flexibly in agreement with the line manager, including some evenings.
Fixed Term until 31st December 2028.

Appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references. An occupational requirement exists for the postholders to be practising Christians.
