Ministry Development Coach
Do you have a heart for mission and a gift for developing leaders?
We are seeking a Ministry Development Leadership Coach to equip and support clergy in being confident, reflective and effective leaders of mission in their local contexts. This is a strategic role at the heart of clergy development, helping translate diocesan vision into faithful, contextual and fruitful local action.
Working through coaching, training and facilitation, you will support clergy to lead Mission Action Planning, navigate change, and grow sustainable, impactful leadership that engages communities and bears fruit. You will also play a key role in shaping and overseeing Ministerial Development Review (MDR), ensuring it becomes a meaningful tool for discernment, growth and missional focus.
We are looking for someone who is:
- An experienced ordained leader with a strong theological grounding in mission
- Skilled in coaching, facilitation and leadership development
- Relational, reflective and enabling, with confidence working in complexity and change
- Passionate about helping churches discern God’s call and respond creatively in their context

Pension: The salary on offer is based on membership into the Church Workers Pension Scheme. If the postholder wanted to remain in the Clergy Pension Scheme, the salary would be altered proportionately, commensurate with total reward.
Salary: £27,000 (£45,000 full-time equivalent)
