About the Role
MAP seeks an
MHPSS Supervisorto provide clinical leadership and technical supervision for mental health and psychosocial support services, ensuring quality, ethical, and confidential care. The role is responsible for overseeing clinical assessments, treatment planning, therapy interventions, Psychological First Aid (PFA), and psychoeducation; strengthening staff capacity through training, mentoring, and case reviews; leading community outreach and awareness activities to improve access to mental health services and reduce stigma; monitoring programme performance and reporting outcomes; and supervising the safe management and administration of psychotropic medications, including adherence monitoring, side-effect management, inventory oversight, and coordination with healthcare professionals.About You
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in a supervisory MHPSS role, preferably within humanitarian or emergency settings, with strong expertise in psychological first aid (PFA), trauma-informed care, treatment planning, psychosocial interventions, and psychotropic medication management. They will have a proven track record in designing and delivering training for health and MHPSS professionals, coordinating referral pathways with psychiatric and medical services, and engaging effectively with NGOs, UN agencies, government bodies, donors, partners, and local communities. The candidate should demonstrate excellent people management skills, with the ability to supervise and support multidisciplinary teams, alongside strong organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
