This is a Volunteer, Part Time vacancy that will close in a month at 23:59 GMT.

The Vacancy

We are offering an interesting and varied opportunity to support the work of the charity, Action for Children, as the Methodist Church nominated Trustee of the Board. In this role you would contribute to the strategic direction and oversight of the charity.

About You

We are looking for someone who wishes to use their skills to support the work of Action for Children. You will preferably have experience of working with committees and charities with ability to grasp the relevant issues pertaining to Action for Children. In particular we are looking for someone with financial/audit/commercial/IT and transformation experience.

Time commitment

The Board meets six times per year, with at least one of those meetings being a residential meeting. In addition to this, trustees are expected to become a member of at least one governance sub-committee (with between two and five meetings per year per committee) and to undertake at least two service visits a year.
