£22,629 (£33,000, full time equivalent)
Closing date: Friday 8 May at 5pm
Merton Parent Carer Forum (MPCF) is the local forum for parents of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) aged 0-25 years. The forum plays a key role in representing the collective voice of local parent carers, supporting them to have a say about how local services in education, health and social care should be planned, delivered and evaluated.
MPCF is run by a steering group of parent carers who volunteer their time to plan the business of the forum, and represent the forum’s members at meetings with local decision-makers.
We seek a Forum Coordinator who will be key to supporting the steering group, coordinating forum activity and ensuring excellent communication with forum members. The ideal candidate must be committed to the values and aims of the forum, which at its heart empowers local parent carers to have a voice and be included in decisions which affect them and their family.
We particularly encourage applications from people with personal experience, including parent carers of children with SEND.
Appointment is subject to a DBS disclosure and satisfactory references.
