      An exciting opportunity as a Merchandise Assistant has become available to join the team at Carnoustie Golf Links, as part of the 2022, 2023 and 2024 award winning Professional Shop team at our prestigious golf course. 
      These are fixed-term positions, with an end date of 31st October 2026 at £12.21 per hour. In this role, evening and weekend work will be expected throughout your employment.
      Working under the PGA Merchandise Operations Supervisor, the general duties of this role include, but are not limited to:
Providing the highest standards of customer service to all visitors to the organisation
Maintaining the Professional Shop to a high standard and merchandising our product lines under instruction
Operating our till system to assist with all forms of customer requirements (including visitor and season ticket holder sales, gift cards, refunds, exchanges and cash reconciliation)
Aiding with storeroom duties including: stock issues, replenishment and general preparation of goods for shop display
Operating our golf booking system to assist with all forms of bookings and alterations (including booking, moving and taking payment for both visitors and season ticket holders)
Safely operate our hat embroidery and engraving machines
Providing all guests to the Professional Shop with high levels of product knowledge (including our merchandise, other departments, Carnoustie and surrounding areas, and Carnoustie Golf Links history and courses)
