The vacancy
Are you passionate about health and care in Wales and interested in engaging and supporting senior leaders? The Welsh NHS Confederation is seeking a talented Membership Engagement Manager to join our dynamic team to support the organisation’s relationships with our members, NHS Chairs, Vice Chairs and Chief Executives.
About the role
As our Membership Engagement Manager, you will:
- Lead on supporting NHS leaders in Wales through developing and delivering a high-quality internal engagement programme.
- Deliver high quality corporate and secretariat support to the Chairs and Vice Chairs Peer Groups and the Chief Executives Management Team (CEMT) meetings.
- Coordinate the organisations approach to gather member intelligence and maximising its impact to meet member's needs.
- Lead on delivering the member offer that meets the needs of members and adds value to the wider system development.
- Manage the NHS Leadership Programme, including line management of two staff, and developing the objectives for the Programme.
What we’re looking for:
- Stakeholder management: A proven track record in developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, comfortable at influencing and engaging with senior leaders.
- Project planning: Experience in developing and implementing stakeholder engagement plans, alongside coordinating meetings, events, and related activities within tight deadlines and competing priorities.
- People management: Experience of line management, with the ability to support, develop, and motivate staff.
- Communication skills: Demonstrable written and verbal skills, with specific experience in producing high-quality communication products and speaking to senior leaders.
- Organisation and proactivity:Strong organisational and project management capabilities, with the initiative and tenacity to drive work from inception to completion, while adapting priorities responsively when needed and working well under pressure.
