Key Responsibilities
The members of our Board and Committees make an important contribution to Glasgow Kelvin College. They bring experience, knowledge and commitment, enabling them to contribute to the College’s strategic direction, governance and continued development. Positions on the Board are currently voluntary and unpaid, but bring huge rewards to members. Your input can make a real difference to the education and prospects of our learners and their wellbeing as well as contributing to the success of the communities of Glasgow.

As a member you will be interested in the North and East communities of Glasgow, education, particularly further and higher education in a college context. We particularly welcome applicants with industry experience and those with backgrounds in economic development or transformational change. We are seeking individuals whose strategic capabilities and professional perspectives can meaningfully support and guide the organisation’s long-term direction, advancing our strategic priorities.
There is an estimated time commitment of approximately 12 hours per month which includes the reading of papers. The position is unpaid, however, relevant expenses will be reimbursed.

How to Apply
Applicants should have a general interest in post-school education, particularly further and higher education in a college context.
Applicants should have relevant experience (paid or voluntary) and the range of skills and expertise to enable them to contribute significantly to the leadership, strategic direction and governance of the College.
