Media Accreditation Executive

Football DataCo is looking for a Media Accreditation Executive to assist in the operational delivery of the company’s media accreditation scheme. The right candidate will be a flexible worker with excellent communication skills who is seeking an administrative support role.

Who we are

Football DataCo Ltd is a joint venture company owned by the Premier League and EFL and represents the data rights of the professional football Leagues in England and Scotland. The core purpose of the business is to protect, market and commercialise the rights to official match related data. As part of the protection of data rights the company runs a centralised accreditation programme for the English Leagues via a bespoke software portal (i-PBS).

The Role

The Media Accreditation Executive will work as part of a team of four and support in the day to day running of DataCo’s accreditation process which includes:

  • Assisting in the efficient running of i-PBS, the company’s online accreditation portal and the processing of seasonal and single-match accreditation applications.
  • Supporting the timely delivery of accreditation to media and broadcast companies and digital ID cards for their employees.
  • Dealing with inbound accreditation requests and general enquiries, responding in a timely manner.
  • Providing support to Premier League and EFL club press officers on specific accreditation issues.
  • Contributing to the ongoing improvement and development of i-PBS.
  • Supporting the delivery of accreditation stock to clubs.
  • Attending and administering media accreditation at EFL Finals events as required (with the Carabao Cup and Sky Bet Play-Off Finals being examples).

Role Requirement

  • Administrative experience working within a sports or media organisation is desired but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems and programmes (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organisational skills, with a methodical approach to work.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and exercise discretion.
  • Ability to maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to work effectively at a high intensity, particularly during the annual accreditation renewal period.
  • Experience of working in a client-facing role, ideally in the media space.
