Native Spirit Festival is seeking Marketing & Event Assistants
Native Spirit Festival is dedicated to Native-produced films and media. This year includes official selections from Panama, Mexico, Ecuador, and Brazil.
We are inviting Latinx to join our small grassroots team as marketing & event coordinators to support Spanish- and Brazilian Portuguese-speaking Native filmmaker (s) in the run-up to and during the festival, now through mid-November.
First in-person Americas event confirmed 23 October, London.
The festival is a project of Native Spirit Foundation, founded in 2005 by a Mapuche activist filmmaker and leader, with one objective being “to create video, radio and television for the other culture to know us without losing our identities.”
Time Commitment: minimum 3-5 hours per week (remote). Full attendance during allocated event/s. Weekly festival team mtg (zoom Thu 7-7.30pm).
Food & travel expenses (within zones 1-6) during allocated event (s).
Ideal candidates have personal, professional knowledge and awareness of Indigenous communities (artistic, cultural, social), are discreet and aligned with NSF values.
Spanish or Portuguese language essential.
This is an opportunity to support Indigenous filmmakers in reaching audiences in London, UK and online.
