We’re looking for a talented Marketing Assistant to join the Marketing Department on a fixed term contract.

Join Our Team as Marketing Assistant

Dumfries & Galloway College is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Marketing Assistant to support the Marketing Team Leader to deliver high‑quality marketing, communications and digital engagement on behalf of the College.

This is an exciting opportunity to support how we communicate with prospective students, employers, communities and partners. Working as part of a hands‑on, multiskilled team, you will support the Marketing Team Leader to deliver of impactful campaigns, and ensure our marketing activity is accurate, engaging, timely and on‑brand.

What You’ll Do

• Design and produce marketing materials for print and digital platforms
• Create, copywrite and publish a range of social media content across all channels
• Support key website functionality and updates
• Support with events, promotions and outreach activity
• Capture photography and video content
• Support PR and communications activity
• Act as an ambassador for the College brand

What We’re Looking For
• Experience in a marketing or communications environment
• Strong digital and creative skills (Adobe Creative Suite or Canva platform)
• Experience supporting the delivery of campaigns across platforms (social media, email and digital)
• Excellent organisation and communication skills
Qualifications
• SCQF Level 8 qualification in marketing or equivalent experience in marketing, graphic design or a related field

If you’re successful in securing the role, your employment will be conditional on the college receiving two satisfactory references and background checks including the disclosure Scotland check on all criminal offences (spent & unspent) so ensure you are not barred from working with Children or Vulnerable Adults.
