Location: Bristol Animal Rescue Centre, 48-50 Albert Road, St Philips, Bristol BS2 0XA – occasional home-working may be possible subject to business requirements
Salary: £31,000 – £36,000 FTE depending on experience (£22,143 – £25,714 actual)
Hours per week: 25 hours per week to be worked across 4 or 5 days during office hours (Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm). Occasional weekend and evening work if required for which TOIL will be agreed with line manager.

About the role:
We are looking for a strategic and creative Marketing and Communications Manager to lead the planning and delivery of impactful communications that raise awareness of our work and inspire support for vulnerable animals in our branch area (Bristol and District).
This is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver integrated marketing and communications activity that strengthens our brand, engages supporters and communities, and supports income generation. You will play a key role in translating organisational priorities into clear campaign plans and projects that deliver measurable results.
The postholder will oversee external and internal communications, develop strong media relationships and manage projects across multiple channels, ensuring consistent messaging and effective use of resources.
About you
We are seeking someone who can combine strategic thinking with strong project management skills and a hands-on approach to delivery. You will bring:
- Experience planning and delivering integrated marketing or communications campaigns
- Experience of developing and managing organisational brand, tone of voice and key messaging, ensuring consistency across channels and audiences
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines
- Confidence in translating complex information into clear, engaging communications that reflect organisational values and objectives
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Confidence using data and insight to evaluate impact and inform future planning
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
- A commitment to the values and mission of an animal welfare charity
Charity sector experience and relevant professional qualifications would be advantageous.
