MARKETING ADMIN ASSISTANT Reports to: Head of Communications Department: Communications Location De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill on Sea Length of contract: 12 months (fixed term) Salary: £23,205 Holidays: 23 days over 12 months + Bank Holiday entitlement Terms: Full-time, 35 hours per week requires flexibility and availability for occasional evenings and weekend working. Introduction The De La Warr Pavilion (DLWP) is a unique Grade 1- listed 1930s modernist building – a centre for arts and culture, on the coast in Bexhill on Sea. DLWP is about to embark on an exciting new stage of its story to deliver the An Icon For Everyone (Transforming Heritage) Capital Project. Find out more here: https://www.dlwp.com/our-capital- project/ The Role The De La Warr Pavilion is seeking a flexible, energetic and hard-working Marketing Admin Assistant to join our busy communications team. This role will support in marketing and communications duties across this multi- disciplinary arts organisation. Summary of Post: The Marketing Admin Assistant will providing administrative support to the marketing team and contribute to the marketing and promotion of a diverse programme encompassing both commercial activity and community engagement within a multi-disciplinary arts organisation, always making sure communications are easy to understand, inclusive, and reflect the organisation’s look and style. Tasks • Website updates General website updates making sure the website is accurate, up-to-date, relevant, accessible and optimised. • Listings/event uploads Uploading events and listings to dlwp.com and other third-party listing websites, ensuring sign off with the relevant department. • Content creation Drafting marketing content across social media, email, website platforms, digital screens and POS, following agreed briefs, access requirements and brand guidelines. • Scheduling posts and emails With direction using our CRM (DLWP uses Spektrix), digital e-marketing mailout system (DLWP uses DotDigital) and social media management platform (DLWP uses Hootsuite) schedule social media posts and emails. • Asset management File, rename and save files, images, copy, links and videos. • Reporting support Gather data and compile results into reports. • Admin/Support/Research General campaign and administrative support, along with data entry, research, contact lists and taking communication meeting minutes. Essential Knowledge and Skills • Experience and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Experience and knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok, LinkedIn and their insights tools. • Experience and basic knowledge of how to use Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign, PowerPoint, pdf. • Knowledge and understanding of the Pavilion, its impact, its communities and its work. Personal Characteristics • An interest in building a career in marketing and communications. • Good communicator. • Takes an active interest in culture, Bexhill and the wider region. • Is pro-active and will self-learn to improve skills. • Brings enthusiasm and energy to the organisation. • Has a collaborative approach and works well as part of a small team. • Is organised, flexible and agile in their approach and a hard worker. • Is thorough, with excellent attention to detail. NOTES The minimum working week for the post is 35 hours. However, due to the nature of the work, actual working hours may exceed this total and will involve some evening and weekend work. The post is mainly based at the Pavilion. The job description is current at January 2026. It outlines the main duties of the position and is designed for the benefit of both the post holder and the organisation in understanding the prime functions of the post. It should not be regarded as exclusive or exhaustive. The responsibilities of the postholder may well change from time to time.
