Make a Real Difference

We are excited to welcome a Support Worker to join our supported living home in Ferndown. If you’re someone who leads with empathy, champions quality of life, and believes in supporting people to live the lives they choose, while building genuine, trusted relationships, this could be the role for you.

What’s in It for You?

  • Guaranteed hours – stability you can rely on
  • Paid training and career development – grow your skills with us
  • A supportive and friendly team – you’ll never be on your own
  • Stream (formerly Wagestream) – access your pay when you need it

Is This You?

Do you stay calm when things take time?
Can you explain information clearly and more than once if needed?
Do you value routine, structure and helping others feel safe and confident?

This is a physical, hands‑on role for someone who is experienced in supporting people that may demonstrate challenging behaviour, and to succeed you’ll have:

• Good spoken and written English
• A full UK manual driving licence
• The right to live and work in the UK
• A practical, active approach to work, with the ability to support people throughout the day
• A caring, positive and resilient mindset

If you genuinely care about people, we can teach you the rest.

Who You’ll Be Supporting

The gentleman supported by SeeAbility in his own home, is looking for resilient, patient, and non-judgemental individuals to help him live life to the fullest. He loves being out in the community—whether it’s swimming, visiting the zoo, enjoying local events, or relaxing at a coffee shop or pub. At home, he enjoys jigsaw puzzles, crafting, and creating art from magazines.

He has autism and mild learning disabilities, and while his behaviour can sometimes be physically challenging, he’s seeking someone dependable and compassionate who’s ready to make a real difference.

If you’re compassionate, resilient, and ready to learn, this is your moment. It’s hands-on, it’s heart-led, and yes — it’s brilliant.
