Personal Assistant

 

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a male living in the Butetown area of Cardiff. I have a diagnosis of pulmonary fibrosis and hypertension. I have a lot of support from my family who I have a close relationship with.

PURPOSE OF JOB

 

  • To ensure I am always safe and comfortable.
  • Maintain high standards of Person Hygiene.
  • To provide drinks to ensure I am hydrated and allow me to take my medication.
  • To assist me with my night-time routine.
  • To assist with food preparation.

PLACE OF WORK

In my home and possibly out in the community.

HOURS OF WORK

 

6 Hours per week.

Relief cover also required for 12 hours per week.

 

RATE OF PAY

 

£14.90 PER HOUR.

 

TASKS INVOLVED

 

  • All aspects of personal care.

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

 

  • Kind and patient.
  • A Male due to personal care.
  • Preferrable someone Somali speaking.
  • Someone who can use their own initiative.

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted.  A probation period will be necessary in the first instance.  Wages will be paid 4 weekly.  You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you. Support cannot be carried out in the personal assistant’s own home.
