Being an LWA Trustee-Director Living Without Abuse is looking to recruit new Trustee-Directors to the Board. The Board is currently made up of five members, with a wide range of skills and experience, but we are looking to expand the team, to bring new knowledge and expertise. What we are looking for At this stage we are not looking for specific skills or experience, primarily we are looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference and ending violence against women and girls. We are seeking Board members from diverse backgrounds, including relevant work and life experience. LWA is a Women’s Aid member and a VAWG (violence against women and girls) specialist service, and as such the opportunity is only available to women. The commitment The Board meets every 4-6 weeks, usually at our Loughborough office, but with an option to join the meeting online via Teams. Board meetings are within office hours and generally last 2-2.5hours. There will be opportunities to get involved in other activities, depending on your availability and interests. More information For more information on the duties and responsibilities of Board members please see the enclosed Charity Trustee Guide and LWA Trustee-Direct role description and person specification.
