£12.71 to £13.09 per hour (DOE)

About the Role
We are seeking a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Lunchtime Support Worker to join our team within our college setting. This role is vital in supporting our students during the lunchtime period, helping to create a safe, positive and inclusive environment.
You will work with young people with a range of special educational needs, including learning disabilities, autism and associated needs, supporting them with eating, social interaction and lunchtime routines.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students during lunch, including encouragement with eating and drinking
- Assist students with moving safely between areas
- Promote positive behaviour and social interaction
- Support individual needs in line with care and support plans
- Ensure students’ safety and wellbeing at all times
- Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is patient, kind and confident working with young people with SEN
- Has a positive and flexible approach
- Can communicate effectively with students and staff
- Is reliable and punctual
- Has experience working with SEN (desirable but not essential – training provided)

We are a non-maintained residential special school for 4–25-year-olds, and we are an innovative and creative School and College for students with SEND, and a large percentage of our cohort have Epilepsy, autism, and severe learning difficulties, along with communication difficulties.
