The key for this role is that it is not a teaching position, as time flexibility is needed during the day. This is a dual-role position, combining SEND support in KS1 with pastoral support and coordination in KS2. It is vital that every child feels known, listened to, and valued. You will report to the Deputy Head of Lower School and work closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and school counsellors to ensure consistent, proactive, and visible pastoral care. Your expertise will bridge specialist SEND Support for EYFS and KS1 by delivering targeted interventions and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SENCO and teachers. Simultaneously, you will drive Pastoral Mentoring and Behaviour Support for KS2, using restorative and solution-focused approaches to mentor pupils with emotional and social challenges, and developing individual support plans.
