Salary: £12,250 per annum (14 hours per week, £32,000 FTE)
Reporting to: Membership Manager

Please note: This role requires regular attendance at bi-montly evening and occasional
weekend in-person events across South West Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.
Applicants should live within a reasonable commuting distance of Watford.

Role Purpose

The Local Membership Co-ordinator is responsible for growing and nurturing our free,
community-based membership across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and North London.
This includes online programmes such as Singalong and EUTV, alongside regular in-person
activities including club nights, open mic nights, and community events.

This is a relationship-led role. The post-holder will be highly visible within our local
community, attending events regularly, building trusted relationships with members and
families, and acting as a welcoming first point of contact for new joiners.

The role focuses on building strong relationships with new and existing members, school
leavers and individuals signposted through local organisations. The post-holder will support
new joiners to feel welcomed, confident, and connected, and will actively foster participation
across the wider programme.

By maintaining strong links between online and in-person activity, this role plays a vital part
in reducing isolation, strengthening community, and ensuring no learning disabled person is
excluded from social opportunities due to financial barriers. The role also has a key
responsibility for maintaining accurate member data to support impact reporting, funding,
and service development.
