We are looking for a Retail Supervisor to join our team our at Lindisfarne Priory. The role is part time and permanent. You'll be on a 16 hour per week contract, working various days in line with the needs of the business. Due to tide times, start and end of times for shifts will vary on a daily basis.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has experience of a working in a retail outlet, preferably within a visitor attraction and/or a charity environment and looking for a new challenge whilst working at Lindisfarne Priory.

As retail supervisor at Lindisfarne Priory, you will lead and inspire a dedicated team of Visitor Assistants to deliver an exceptional retail experience, generating approximately £200,000 in annual income to support the vital conservation work of our charity.

You'll take ownership of achieving ambitious retail targets, carefully managing budgets, controlling expenditure, and driving profitability. You will oversee all on-site retail activity, ensuring every display tells a story, every product reflects our heritage, and every visitor leaves with a memorable experience.

A confident and capable leader, you'll step into duty management and key holding responsibilities when required. You'll also play an important role across the wider territory, contributing to training, coaching, and sharing best practice to strengthen retail performance beyond your site.

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

A proven track record of delivering profit by meeting revenue targets and effectively managing costs

Strong knowledge of visual merchandising, stock control, and day-to-day retail operations

A genuine commitment to the vision and values of our charity, with a passion for connecting people to history through retail

This is an exciting opportunity to combine commercial drive with heritage storytelling, using retail as a powerful tool to support the preservation of one of the North East's most iconic historic sites.
