Lighting Technician
Job Description
The Lighting Technician will participate in the effective and efficient delivery of Dundee Rep & Scottish Dance Theatre’s (DRSDT) lighting services.
The post holder will work within the Production Department and, as such, is expected to make a positive contribution to the development of the Lighting Department, Production Department and to the success of the company as a whole.
Your key areas of responsibility as Lighting Technician will be:
- Responsible, under the supervision of the Chief Electrician, for the provision of lighting services and to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient running of all lighting aspects of DRSDT’s productions.
- Lighting desk programming and operation (ETC EOS family) for in-house productions and visiting companies.
- Rigging and focusing lighting fixtures and other equipment for in-house and visiting productions.
- Operation of lighting on tour or transferred productions may be required.
The Lighting Technician will be responsible to the Chief Electrician and will have key relationships with the Production Team members, Creative Team members, Engage Team members, external collaborators and suppliers.
