About the role
Our purpose is simple: to save lives at sea. Our RNLI lifesavers are ready to launch to the rescue, 24 hours a day, every day.
We’re looking for a Lifesaving Service Delivery Manager (Technical) to join our Lifesaving Services and Futures team. The Lifesaving Services and Futures team supports the RNLI by ensuring our frontline lifesavers have the services and forward looking support to help them in delivering lifesaving at the coast.

Your role
As a Lifesaving Service Delivery Manager (Technical), you will be tasked with focus on the following areas:
- Aligning operational delivery of asset maintenance with the in service support team and other supporting departments.
- Providing technical subject matter expertise to the lifesaving service and futures team.
- Driving operational support to regionally dispersed technical teams to ensure asset up time and consistent delivery of operating standards.
About you
You’ll be someone who proactively seeks to drive improvements and increase their own levels of performance as well as improve standards within teams. The role would be ideal for someone who is passionate about driving performance to ensure safety around maritime delivery. Someone who is forwarding thinking and has the appetite to influence change around the future of lifeboat delivery. This is an ideal role for someone who has effective communication skills and can collaborate, engage and influence internal and external stakeholders. This role will necessitate some travel throughout the UK and Ireland.
To be considered as the Lifesaving Service Delivery Manager (Technical) you will need:
- A deep understanding of how asset maintenance is carried out on the coast by regional teams.
- A technical / mechanical background especially in a maritime environment and with launch and recovery equipment
- An ability and willingness to work collaboratively with others whilst maintaining the customer voice in a service led environment
