The role

 

As the Lifecycle Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for driving end-to-end lifecycle performance across key customer segments, ensuring structured acquisition, onboarding, engagement and retention activity that supports sustainable commercial growth.

You will focus on optimising customer journeys, improving engagement and conversion performance, strengthening retention outcomes, and embedding clear processes and governance frameworks. You will also ensure lifecycle activity is insight-led, commercially focused and operationally robust.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading the planning, optimisation and performance management of lifecycle marketing activity across acquisition, onboarding, engagement and retention.
  • Mapping and enhancing end-to-end customer journeys to improve experience, conversion and long-term value.
  • Identifying and addressing funnel drop-off points through targeted communications, testing and continuous optimisation.
  • Developing and improving onboarding and engagement communications to support early value realisation and sustained customer relationships.
  • Establishing clear, documented and repeatable lifecycle processes.
  • Embedding clear lifecycle performance reporting, KPIs and regular review mechanisms to drive accountability and informed decision making.
  • Collaborating with Digital, UX, Data, Membership, Technology and Commercial teams to align lifecycle activity with broader organisational priorities.
  • Ensuring lifecycle activity supports strategic programmes of work and change initiatives without compromising performance stability.

 

What you’ll need to be successful

 

  • Demonstrable experience in lifecycle, CRM or retention marketing within a subscription, membership or service-led environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience driving engagement, conversion and retention performance through insight-led activity.
  • Ability to analyse customer and performance data to identify risks and opportunities and translate them into actionable plans.
  • Experience in structured customer journey mapping and lifecycle optimisation.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver shared outcomes.
  • Experience embedding governance, reporting frameworks and documented processes to ensure consistency and continuity.
  • Delivery-focused, organised and resilient, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a changing environment.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, including the ability to present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
