£44,192 - £46,517 per year
35 hours per week
We have an opportunity for a Legal Manager – Property to join our Property team, based within Legal Services. The main purpose of this role is to support the management and delivery of property-related legal services to the Group ensuring compliance with regulations and business policies.
The role of Legal Manager - Property will include:
- Manage programmes and initiatives affecting the Group's property portfolio to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulation
- Assist in managing the Group’s external legal providers, ensuring the delivery of a quality service that represents value for money
- Manage own caseload of legal work including sales, leases, infrastructure agreements
- Manage and maintain relationships with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service
- Review and update relevant policies and procedures to ensure continued compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Skills and experiences:
- Solicitor, FILEX or Licenced Conveyancer
- Recent experience of managing property related legal transactions
- Proven achievement working in a commercially focussed legal role
- Working knowledge of property law, housing regulations and current best practice
- Experience of managing projects with strong project management skills
- Proven experience of managing staff
