We are looking for someone to join our Legacy Engagement Team on a 15 month temporary basis to cover a maternity leave backfill. Legacies account for over two thirds of the RNLI’s annual income today and will continue to be a vital fundraising stream for many years to come.

In this role, as Legacy & In Memory Giving Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing and managing the initial touchpoint that many of our Legacy and In Memory supporters have with the RNLI. You will line manage up to three individuals who are principally tasked with developing long term relationships with these supporters by enhancing campaigns with a personal touch and offering ongoing engagement and stewardship to inspire, inform and thank them.

You’ll collaborate with colleagues in the wider Legacy Engagement team, Supporter Experience, Legacy Marketing and CRM teams to ensure supporters receive a timely and seamless experience to secure and retain their future support. Working with your peers you will ensure that enablers and blockers are managed and that a variety of key projects are delivered by team.

Your role

As a Manager in the Legacy Engagement team you will be focussed on:

  • Developing supporter journeys that engage and enrich our legacy and in memory supporters.
  • Identifying improvements and evolving processes for multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leading and nurturing a team of legacy and in memory engagement professionals to deliver bespoke experiences and responses to supporters.
  • Line managing a small team to deliver, lead and support on projects across in memory and legacy engagement.

About you

As an experienced professional to be considered for this role you’ll need to have:

  • Passion for delivering an excellent supporter-centric experience combined with excellent project management skills including stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Methodical and logical approach to mapping & interrogating new/existing processes and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with understanding and interpreting data in Power BI, Excel or external reporting tools.
  • The ability to prioritise, reprioritise and juggle multiple projects to meet deadlines combined with ability for getting the best from your team.
  • Personal resilience and ability to persevere.
  • Impeccable communication skills to engage with a wide range of audiences.
  • Legacy and/or In-memory fundraising and donor stewardship experience desired

So, if you have a passion for fundraising and are looking to be part of a successful and ambitious team, this could be the role for you. Please apply via the button shown.
