About the Role
Morley College London is seeking to appoint a Lecturer – Science (Physics) to deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment within our Science curriculum area, with a primary focus on Physics modules across a range of courses.
Based at our North Kensington Centre, the successful candidate will contribute to curriculum development, course planning, student assessment and quality enhancement, supporting learners to achieve their full potential and progress successfully. The role will involve planning and delivering engaging lessons, developing learning resources, supporting student progress, and contributing to internal and external moderation processes.
You will also provide advice, guidance and tutorial support to students, including progression routes and applications to accredited courses or higher education where appropriate. Working closely with colleagues across the School and wider College, you will help ensure strong student attendance, retention, achievement and overall learner experience.

About you
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline and will have experience of teaching Physics up to Level 3. You will hold an appropriate teaching qualification, such as DET, DTLLS, PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent, and have a strong record of planning and delivering high-quality accredited teaching.
You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to support and motivate students from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities. You will be confident in assessing learner progress, giving effective feedback and using quality assurance processes to improve teaching, learning and student outcomes.
You will also be committed to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, and will be able to create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment for both adult learners and 16–18-year-olds. Strong IT skills and the ability to use digital technologies creatively to support learning and online delivery will also be important.
Experience of teaching in a Further Education setting, delivering Access to HE or BTEC courses, or holding a relevant Level 7 qualification would be an advantage.
