Centre and Student Services Assistant

Salary:Circa £26,512 (including LWA per annum)
Hours:36 hours per week

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Student Services Assistant to join our team at the Stockwell Centre. This is a vital front-line role, providing excellent support to students, staff, and partners. You will be the first point of contact for learners, many of whom have limited English proficiency and additional support needs. The role requires excellent customer service, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage a wide range of administrative and operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Provide front-line student support, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment
Manage reception duties, including weekday eveningsandSaturdays(time off in lieu will be provided)
Support enrolment, recruitment, and marketing activities
Provide administrative support for course delivery and centre operations
Assist with IT troubleshooting and general enquiries
Coordinate events and support community engagement initiatives
Ensure smooth day-to-day running of the Centre, including responding to operational requests

About You We are looking for someone who is:

Friendly, approachable, and committed to excellent customer service
Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work Saturday shifts and weekday evenings(with time off in lieu)
Highly organised with strong administrative and IT skills
Confident in handling a variety of tasks and responding to operational challenges
Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Experienced in supporting learners with diverse needs (desirable)
