Lecturer in Veterinary General Practice (Equine) Part-time 0.8 FTE, Fixed Term (12-month maternity cover)

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the academic team at Harper & Keele Veterinary School as a Lecturer in Veterinary General Practice a focus on equine clinical practice. The post is offered on a fixed-term, 12-month basis to provide maternity leave cover for an existing member of the team. The post holder will be part of the Veterinary General Practice teaching team and will contribute to the theoretical and practical teaching of equine-related content across the Harper & Keele BVetMS curriculum. The successful candidate should have extensive experience working in equine general practice within the UK sector, and previous experience of delivering clinical education and supporting undergraduate veterinary students. Experience of higher education and relevant equine-related postgraduate qualifications are desirable.

In addition to teaching, you will be required to undertake other academic duties such as assessment and student support, and work as part of a team as well as independently. You will also be expected to contribute toward scholarship and to support the School’s wider strategic themes.
