Learning Coach
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:15 to 16:15, Term Time Only
Cheadle Hulme School is seeking to appoint a Learning and Support Coach who will be responsible for supporting the teaching and learning of students identified as experiencing barriers to their learning, including EHCPs.
In addition to in-class and one-to-one support, the post-holder will play a key role in the diagnostic observation process: where concerns are raised via CPOMS or other school referral mechanisms, they will undertake structured observations across lessons to gather evidence and contribute to informed, personalised intervention planning.
The post-holder will work during term time. There may be occasional requirements for extended hours to support examinations, parents’ meetings, or school events.
Cheadle Hulme School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
The successful candidate will have prior experience of working with students with learning barriers in a school setting and the ability to conduct observations and contribute to learning support diagnosis. They will also have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be enthusiastic, positive and proactive.
