Inclusion Scotland is a national network of disabled people, their organisations and allies. Through our partnerships we reach large numbers of disabled people across Scotland. We are a Disabled People’s Organisation – run by disabled people. Inclusion Scotland works to achieve positive changes to policy and practice, so that disabled people are fully included throughout all Scottish society as equal citizens.

We support disabled people to participate and to be decision-makers themselves, promoting our equal representation and our right to make choices. At Inclusion Scotland our approach to diversity is simple: it’s about embracing everyone. From cultivating a culture where all team members can be their best at work, to deploying diversity initiatives that support and welcome all. We’re working to build a more equitable workplace and society.

The Learning and Community Development Coordinator supports disabled people and disabled people’s organisations across Scotland to connect, build influence and share learning. Working with colleagues across the organisation, the role focuses on strengthening community, developing learning opportunities and amplifying disabled people’s voices so they are fully included as equal citizens.

The role involves co‑producing and delivering accessible training, resources and capacity‑building activity rooted in the social model of disability and the Independent Living Movement. This includes supporting organisations with fewer resources, strengthening local and national connections, and sharing learning from membership research. The Coordinator also works with participants to understand impact, improve practice over time, and build positive relationships with partners and stakeholders.

This is a part‑time, permanent role with flexible, hybrid working and opportunities to engage with people and organisations in urban, rural and island communities.
