As Lead Technical Product Specialist – Salesforce, you will provide technical leadership, product ownership support, and people leadership across the Salesforce ecosystem. You will ensure the Salesforce platform is stable, compliant, and continuously evolving in line with business priorities, while enabling your Chapter to work effectively within cross functional squads.
You will play a key role in shaping how Salesforce solutions are analysed, designed, configured, delivered, and supported across Riverside, acting as a trusted technical leader for both business and technology stakeholders.

About you
We are looking for someone with
•    Proven experience in technical design leadership and people management within a product or platform environment.
•    Strong experience in product analysis, technical design, and solution delivery.
•    Demonstrable Salesforce expertise across Service Cloud, Non Profit Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
•    Experience supporting Salesforce in medium to large scale implementations.

Role Profile     Lead, motivate, and align the Technical Product Specialist roles within the Salesforce squad model. 
•    Provide line management and coaching to the Technical Product Specialist & Technical Product Associate roles within the Salesforce Squad, supporting capability development and consistent design standards. 
•    Champion Riverside’s DevOps principles, ensuring strong collaboration, flow, and continuous improvement across squads. 
•    Provide technical design leadership across all Salesforce products, Promoting a culture of learning, knowledge sharing, and ownership across the Chapter.
•    Work closely with all business areas to translate business needs into clear technical designs and user stories.
•    Support and lead in the shaping and maintaining of the Salesforce ecosystem roadmap, balancing new capability, technical debt, and platform sustainability.
•    Own and drive continuous improvement through the Salesforce backlog, ensuring value-led prioritisation.
•    Lead the design, configuration, and customisation of Salesforce solutions to align with Riverside business processes.
•    Ensure solutions are built to agreed standards, are scalable, and support a positive user experience.
•    Maintain high-quality technical design documentation covering configurations, integrations, and operating processes.
•    Identify, manage, and escalate technical risks and issues, ensuring appropriate mitigation or acceptance by accountable stakeholders.
•    Provide overall responsibility for audit, compliance, and good practice within Salesforce design and change.
•    Ensure all information & cyber security, and data protection requirements are met in line with Group policies and statutory obligations.
•    Support platform resilience, availability, and performance, including participation in on call arrangements where required.
•    Support on Salesforce platform releases, championing the adoption of approved enhancements and changes.
•    Act as Riverside’s design lead in vendor relationships, managing Salesforce and delivery partners across development and support.
•    Ensure service management processes (incident, problem, change, request) are effective and continuously improving.
•    Maintain and grow your expertise as a Salesforce SME, keeping up to date with platform releases and best practice.
•    Contribute to broader Digital and Technology communities of practice where appropriate.

Person specificationKnowledge, Skills, and ExperienceEssential•    Proven experience in technical design leadership and people management within a product or platform environment.
•    Strong experience in product analysis, technical design, and solution delivery.
•    Demonstrable Salesforce expertise across Service Cloud, Non Profit Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
•    Experience supporting Salesforce in medium to large scale implementations.
•    Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps delivery approaches.
•    Experience with Salesforce integrations, data migration, testing, and release management.
•    Ability to work effectively in multi disciplinary, squad based teams.
•    Strong stakeholder engagement, problem solving, and prioritisation skills

Desirable•    Salesforce certifications or Trailhead awards.
•    Experience working directly with Salesforce as a strategic vendor.
•    Experience contributing to business cases or benefits realisation activity.
