Job title: Lead Programme Facilitator & Volunteer Manager (Youth Mental Health)

Role summary: Oxfordshire Discovery College is recruiting a Lead Programme Facilitator & Volunteer Manager to lead the delivery of our youth mental health programmes across Oxfordshire and to support and develop our volunteer facilitators.

This is a part-time, term-time only role using a co-produced, non-clinical Discovery College model, focused on learning, wellbeing and peer support. The postholder will ensure high-quality programme delivery, psychologically safe group spaces, and effective evaluation to evidence impact for funders and partners.

Job location: The role is based in Didcot, with programme delivery taking place at various locations across Oxfordshire. A valid driving license and access to a car are essential.

Pay Rate: £27,000–£30,000 FTE (dependent on experience)

About the Role
The Lead Programme Facilitator & Volunteer Manager will:
● Lead the planning and delivery of youth mental health programmes
● Support, supervise and develop volunteer facilitators
● Work with partners to recruit participants and deliver programmes effectively
● Implement monitoring and evaluation processes to capture impact and learning
● Some flexibility may be required to support the delivery of occasional evening or weekend programmes, by prior agreement.
About You
We are looking for someone with professional expertise and/or qualifications in a relevant field such as mental health, youth work, education, therapeutic practice or applied wellbeing, with experience of facilitating groups of children or young people.
Experience of supporting volunteers or staff is essential. Lived experience of mental health challenges, either personally or as a parent or carer, is welcomed but not required.
