Job Opportunity
In this role, you will:
• Provide enthusiastic day-to-day leadership and supervision for the care team
• Support with the administration of medication to residents and assist the nursing team with medication management
• Maintain clear, accurate and comprehensive records
• Play a vital role in delivering high-quality care that can profoundly improve residents’ quality of life
• Offer practical help and emotional support to people who are unable to live independently
• Guide, support and help train new Care and Support Workers as they develop in their roles
• Help coordinate the team’s work so colleagues can meet their objectives and deliver consistent, compassionate care

Strode Park House is a residential home in Herne, Kent, registered for 55 adults with physical disabilities and complex needs. We provide a relaxed, homely environment for 40 permanent residents and up to 15 guests who stay with us for neuro-rehabilitation and respite care. Strode Park Foundation has been delivering care since 1946, and Strode Park House is where our story began.

Shift times at Strode Park House are:
• Early - 7.00am - 1.30pm
• Lates - 1.30pm - 8.00pm
• Nights - 8.00pm - 7.00am
Strode Park House provides care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays. Because of this, we value colleagues who are reliable and flexible. Essential Skills
We are looking for someone who has:
• A Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, or a willingness to work towards this within 12 months of starting the role
• Direct or indirect experience of disability or supporting people with disabilities
• Basic computer skills
• The flexibility to meet the working pattern required for this role
• Experience of managing and administering medication, or a willingness to learn this skill
It would also be an advantage if you have:
• Experience of working in a supervisory role
• Previous experience of working in care
