The Vacancy
Are you a qualified Asbestos Surveyor with leadership experience?
As our Lead Asbestos Surveyor you’ll be leading a team of Asbestos Surveyors, ensuring our asbestos surveying programmes and reactive works are receiving good quality asbestos surveys for our stakeholders.
You’ll be carrying out asbestos surveys and quality audits of the surveys produced by the team. You’ll ensure that the team work within a ‘safety first’ culture and you’ll be seen as a technical lead for the business, supporting with any advice and support that’s required.
You’ll be experienced in asbestos management surveys, re-inspections, refurbishment and demolition surveys in domestic and commercial properties.
You will manage the team resource to ensure that surveys are carried out in a timely manner supporting the wider business with their programme of works. You will ensure that accurate records are maintained in the required format.
About you
You will hold a BOHS P402 qualification or RSPH Level 3 Award in Asbestos Surveying with significant experience in asbestos surveying.
It will be desirable if you also hold a BOHS P405 qualification.
You will have a good understanding of asbestos management including landlord requirements, regulatory requirements and best practice. Experience of undertaking desktop and on-site survey audit would be desirable.
You will have previously lead a successful team or have strong demonstrable leadership qualities. You will naturally coach in the moment, sharing your knowledge and experience to enhance the skills or your team.
You’ll be happy to build strong working relationships to ensure good stakeholder management is maintained.
You will consider yourself to have a good level of IT skills, with the ability to interpret data and produce clear and accurate reports.
The role will support the team who work across our operating regions. You will be required to travel throughout our regions so you’ll need a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
Our operating regions include Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall and London and you'll be ideally located in the centre of the region.
