Job Description
We are looking to recruit a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support the kitchen team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen and dining service for staff and pupils at Talbot House Children’s Charity.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operation of the kitchen by washing dishes, preparing and cleaning the dining area before and after meal service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene by assisting with general kitchen duties, and carrying out other reasonable tasks as requested by the Kitchen Manager and Kitchen Assistants to support the effective operation of the kitchen.
To apply, you may have previous experience in a school kitchen, restaurant or hospitality environment, however, while this is advantageous, it is not essential as training will be provided.

Starting date: 1 September 2026, or as soon as possible, depending on your notice period.
Hours of work are: term time only, Monday to Thursday, 9:15am to 2:00pm, with a 15 minute unpaid break.
Salary from: £11,235.64 per annum.
