REPORTS TO: Women’s Head Coach

LOCATION: Bristol Bears High Performance Centre, Abbots Leigh, Bristol, BS8 3TF. Where required, the role will include duties at off-site locations.

CONTRACT TYPE: Part-Time, 12 months fixed term contract

WORKING HOURS: 18 hours per week – this role will include working evenings and weekends

SALARY:  £27,000 full time equivalent

CLOSING DATE: Friday 19th June at midnight

Bristol Bears Rugby is part of Stephen Lansdown’s sporting group of companies which includes Bristol Sport, Bristol City Football, Bristol Flyers Basketball and each of their respective community charities.

Our vision is ‘to inspire our community through rugby success’. Our supporters regularly attend Shaftesbury Park to watch the team perform in Premiership Women’s Rugby league.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Kit and Game Day Manager will oversee all kit, equipment, match kit laundry, and game day rugby operational delivery for Bristol Bears Women, ensuring professional standards across training, matchdays, travel, and player presentation.

The role will also support wider operational logistics and commercial kit requirements.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

KIT & EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT

  • Coordinate all playing, training, and travel kit.
  • Manage kit preparation for training and matchdays.
  • Ensure kit consistency and adherence to club standards.
  • Arrange embroidery and customisation requirements.
  • Coordinate commercial and media-related kit requests.

LAUNDRY & STOCK MANAGEMENT

  • Manage match day kit laundering and maintenance of training bibs and kit.
  • Monitor kit stock levels and equipment inventory.
  • Organise distribution and collection of kit and equipment.

MATCHDAY OPERATIONS

  • Act as Match Day Team Manager.
  • Support game day setup and rugby operational delivery.
  • Coordinate dressing room and technical area preparation.
  • Support matchday logistics and travel coordination.

TRAINING SUPPORT

  • Prepare equipment and all kit for training sessions.
  • Ensure training pitch is set up in advance of sessions as requested by coaches
  • Assist coaching and performance staff with operational requirements.
  • Ensure training environments are fully prepared and organised.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

  • Head Coach and other Rugby Coaches.
  • General Manager
  • Team Operations Manager
  • Women’s Medical Lead
  • Women’s Athletic Performance Lead

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • The successful applicant will be required to drive the club kit van and therefore must hold a valid full driving licence
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and the ability to work independently and efficiently

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Experience and knowledge of working in a professional women’s sporting environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of the PWR (Premiership Women’s Rugby)

HEALTH AND SAFETY

  • Responsible for ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed at all times, with relevant documentation to support
  • To ensure all employees complete the training required to do their job
  • Report all incidents and accidents as required
  • To complete and review the relevant risk assessments.
