Wadham College is looking for a new Junior Dean to join us from 1 September 2026
Wadham College wishes to appoint two Junior Deans, one at its Merifield site in Summertown, and one at its Dorothy Wadham Building site on Iffley Road from 1 September 2026 to 30 June 2027, with the possibility of re-appointment the following academic year (2027/28).

Between them they are required to support the Welfare Lead, the Dean, and Residential Site Managers by assisting in the day-to-day execution of pastoral, disciplinary, health & safety and administrative duties. They will be available for evenings/nights in the week, and day and night over weekends to provide cover at their residential site. They also need to be available for some day-time commitments, including meetings, events, and training, during the week.
Applicants should already be enrolled on a full-time Oxford DPhil course for the entirety of the appointment and successful applicants will need to provide evidence that they can work legally in the UK and undergo a DBS check.
