St Hilda's College

St. Hilda’s College wishes to appoint a Junior Dean, to serve alongside two other Junior Deans, starting on 1 October 2026 for the academic year 2026-27. There may be the possibility of renewal for a further year thereafter.

The successful candidate will support the Dean and Welfare Lead with welfare and discipline within the College. The role requires an individual who enjoys working with young people, is well organised and works well in a team, as well as independently. The successful candidate must be approachable, open minded and a good listener.

The College would especially welcome applications from those who have some prior experience as a Junior Dean, Assistant Junior Dean, or a similar role.

Junior Deans are required to reside in college accommodation (single occupancy), free of charge, and will be entitled to free meals at high table, when the kitchens are open, and an honorarium of £3,000 per annum. If the successful applicant is at another College, they will be required to migrate to St. Hilda’s College.

Please see the Further Particulars for full for details of the duties, person specification and benefits.
