IT Support Technician, Digital & Information Services (ITS300S)

The IT Support Technician role will be based within the Desktop Services team within the Directorate of Digital & Information Services, primarily responsible for providing support services to staff, researchers & students in their use of desktop PC’s, laptops and mobile devices and their associated applications and peripherals

Job Description

You will be an enthusiastic junior IT professional, keen to develop your own skill set & career in a fast-paced Information Technology department. You will have experience of PC configuration management & deployment technology, with a focus on excellent customer service & support.

You will have a degree or equivalent qualification/experience in an appropriate subject area. You will also have an excellent working knowledge of PC hardware/software configuration, operating systems, and connectivity. You will be self-motivated, but also able to work closely with others, with a keen eye for details and the ability to develop and contribute to process development. The ability to analyse complex scenarios and manage conflicting priorities is essential

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 4 salary scale, £27,319 - £31,236 per annum, with placement according to qualifications and experience.

This role is based in the UK and as such the successful candidate will be required to live and work in the UK.
