IT Apprentice
We are looking for an IT Apprentice to join our busy IT team working from our Head Office in Penrith. The successful candidate will support the existing team while learning valuable work-place skills and gaining a nationally recognised qualification.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a motivation to work in IT to gain a wide range of skills and experiences.
You will primarily be required to provide an efficient and professional support service for Inspira to facilitate the effective operation of the Charity’s services and projects through its IT systems. In addition, there will be opportunity to:
- Support, develop, maintain and document all relevant hardware information systems including servers, workstations, and printers.
- Support, develop, maintain and document the local and wide area networks operated within the Charity including remote access facilities.
- Support, develop, maintain and document all relevant software based Including operating systems, databases, and reporting software.
- Develop new and enhance ICT systems and processes.
- Monitor operational performance via key performance indicators and other targets.
As an IT Apprentice, you will need:
- Minimum GCSE grade C or 4/5 in Maths, English and a Computing related subject (Expected or Achieved);
- Knowledge and/or an interest in Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Good communication skills;
- An understanding good customer service;
- A willingness to learn;
