About the role

 The role focuses on assessing and strengthening IPC practices at Alshifa Hospital. Responsibilities include conducting rapid IPC assessments using WHO tools and MoH protocols, evaluating health team performance, and developing intervention plans to improve care quality. The position also involves coordinating with technical teams to plan and implement IPC interventions, monitoring the availability and use of IPC supplies, and conducting field visits. Additionally, it includes building staff capacity through training and coaching, supporting the establishment of an emergency IPC task force, and preparing regular reports with recommendations for relevant health partners and coordination groups. 

About You

 The candidate should have a background in medicine, nursing, or a related field (such as microbiology or pharmacy) and possess strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. They should have extensive experience in developing and implementing IPC policies, particularly in low-resource or emergency settings, and in hospital departments like Internal Medicine, Surgery, and ICU. Experience with NGOs or humanitarian organisations and working with diverse stakeholders is desirable. The role also requires knowledge of MoH protocols and international humanitarian standards, along with strong computer, organisational, and bilingual (English and Arabic) communication skills.
